Process Over Prescription: Grief Awareness

Process Over Prescription: Grief Awareness

Our main workshop that focuses on the process of grief as a unique personal journey and not a prescribed set of conditions and expectations.

Living Memory Box

Living Memory Box

Children make a personalized 'living' memory box to physically and tangibly process ongoing feelings and thoughts of a lost loved one.

Children and their adult companions work together to make a memory box that ‘lives on’ in their everyday routine. Through the creative process, both child and adult share stories, memories, wishes, and emotions to fill up their memory box. Participants have the opportunity to write letters, decorate photographs, draft drawings, and As days, weeks, months, and years pass by, this memory box is open for additions of new thoughts and feelings. This memory box also serves as a daily reminder that the memory and impact of their loved one are with them forever.
